DOVEBID® APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT TO LEAD DOVEBID VALUATION SERVICES, INC.

FOSTER CITY, CA (October 25, 2004) - DoveBid, Inc., a global provider of capital asset auction and valuation services, today announced the appointment of James C. Dykstra to President of DoveBid Valuation Services, Inc. (DVS).

"Dykstra has led the global sales and marketing efforts for DVS since 2001. Prior to joining DoveBid, Dykstra held senior management positions with General Motors. He was a partner at Worldmark, a consulting firm with media clients such as Times-Mirror, Tribune Companies, and Gannett. Dyskstra was co-founder of Head Counsel, a virtual law firm where lawyers formed project-based teams for other lawyers or general counsel. Dykstra brings 20 years of successful business development and sales management experience to DoveBid.
