Press Release DOVEBID® ACQUIRES C.L.VAN BEUSEKOM B.V. Leading International Business-to-Business Webcast FOSTER CITY, California. (September 18, 2000) - DoveBid, Inc., a leader in Webcast and online capital asset auctions and valuation services, today announced the acquisition of C.L. Van Beusekom B.V., an Amsterdam-based industrial auctioneer, specializing in auctions, appraisal services, asset disposition services, and insolvency services. Van Beusekom is DoveBid's second purchase of a European company. The acquisition also establishes a significant presence in Europe for DoveBid Valuation Services, providing clients with a broad range of appraisal and consulting services, including online services. DoveBid, Inc., will add a portfolio of Van Beusekom clients that includes large national and international banks and law offices in the Netherlands. "Van Beusekom's experience and reputation will allow us to better serve our current multi-national customers and expand our auction and appraisal business to include new customers located throughout Europe," said Ross Dove, chairman and chief executive officer of DoveBid. Frederick Abbink, formerly managing director of Van Beusekom, will join DoveBid as Director of Auction and Valuation Services in the Netherlands. The acquisition of Van Beusekom follows DoveBid's recent purchase of Fairfield Industries B.V., a Netherlands-based auction firm specializing in negotiated and private treaty sales of used capital assets. Fairfield Industries is a pan-European firm that auctioned hundreds of millions of dollars worth of machinery and equipment in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Through the acquisition, DoveBid added a portfolio of Fairfield clients that includes Case Germany, Clark Equipment, John Deere Germany, Stork Wärtsilä Diesel and Von Roll AG.
