DOVEBID® ANNOUNCES SEVEN NEW TRANSACTION SUPPORT SERVICES

Leading Webcast Auctioneer Adds to Menu of Turnkey Services

FOSTER CITY, California. (September 6, 2000) - DoveBid, Inc., a leader in Webcast and online capital asset auctions and valuation services, today announced seven new transaction support services through its referral network that will complement DoveBid's turnkey asset disposition services. The new support services include: transportation and logistics; asset inspection services; maintenance, repair and operations procurement; financing; photography; credit rating; and insurance.

TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS
DoveBid Transportation Services was formed to complement DoveBid's auction capabilities by providing full, end-to-end transportation services for DoveBid's customers. This requires the coordination of efforts of several separate vendors to break down, crate, ship and sometimes arrange for warehousing of the asset. Rather than a customer making the arrangements, DoveBid's network of 18 reputable rigging and transportation professionals who are licensed and insured will provide the services.

ASSET INSPECTION
DoveBid Inspection Services consists of a network of trained capital asset inspectors across major markets worldwide who provide value-added assistance to remote buyers. For example, if a customer is unable to view assets personally, an experienced inspector can perform the following for any asset: visual inspection; confirmation identification, capacity or specifications, and review of maintenance history. This in turn helps customers make better purchasing decisions with prompt, reliable, and standardized inspections.

MRO PROCUREMENT
Datastream Systems, a leading industrial asset management company, will connect DoveBid customers with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) parts suppliers through their iProcure network. iProcure enables end-to-end automated procurement of industrial goods and services from leading suppliers such as AppliedLink, Fastenal Company, Ferguson Enterprises, LL National, PurchasingCenter.Com, and WESCO Distribution, Inc.

FINANCING
DoveBid has established a relationship with LENDX, the premier on-line corporate equipment finance marketplace, to provide customers with access to the capital required to make asset purchases. Using the LENDX marketplace, customers can secure financing for any type of asset through a broad network of funding sources.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Through an alliance with Documentation Services International (DSI), DoveBid offers buyers the ability to see or inspect assets up close and in detail on VHS video or photos per their specific requests. Videos and photos are delivered via next day air or email. Sellers have the ability to post streaming video or zoom & pan image listings that show their assets up close and in detail over the Internet. DSI covers every zip code in the U.S. and more than 3,000 cities in Canada.

CREDIT RATING
Dun & Bradstreet reports are renowned for the up-to-date company and credit information they provide on over 11 million U.S. businesses. Through an alliance with Telebase, DoveBid customers can find the Dun & Bradstreet financial, payment activity or corporate background information they need to make their credit decisions, sales calls and other business activities more profitable.

INSURANCE
WebTradeInsure provides access to transit insurance coverage for online business-to-business transactions to protect against loss or damage during shipment. Through an alliance with WebTradeInsure, DoveBid will provide customers who purchase items with more confidence when they ship their items with the WebTradeInsure Transit Insurance in force.
